BRIDGING THE DEMENTIA CARE GAP FOR UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES

Building digital infrastructure to coordinate dementia care from community concern through residential transition – ensuring no family navigates the pathway alone.

Who We Are

Amagi Health Ltd is a UK-registered digital health company developing a Class IIa Software as Medical Device (SaMD) platform for dementia triage and care coordination. Amagi® was founded by dementia researcher Dr. Ishtar Govia after she witnessed fragmented care systems fail families across the Caribbean, regions with other low- and middle-income countries, the US, and the UK.

Amagi® translates 15 years of implementation science research into digital tools that work in the real world – especially for diverse, resource-constrained communities. We’re currently validating our platform through primary care and care providers.

Our Leadership

For 15 years, Dr. Govia documented fragmented dementia care systems across Jamaica, other low- and middle-income countries throughout the Caribbean and globally, the USA, and the UK – leading £8M+ research programmes for academic, not for profit, and international consortia. The evidence was clear: families needed structured triage, support during long specialist waits, and seamless care transitions. But publishing papers wasn’t changing systems fast enough. When her mother-in-law in Jamaica struggled to navigate care with no coordination, the gap between research and reality became personal. Amagi® is the result: translating 15 years of implementation science into digital infrastructure that care teams and families can actually use – especially in the diverse, resource-constrained communities where gaps are largest.

After years documenting what doesn't work, I decided to build what does.
