Dementia Moments is a complimentary, experiential community session designed to help families, caregivers, and communities better understand what it is like to live with dementia — and how to respond with more compassion and confidence. Participants are immersed in scenarios that simulate the cognitive and sensory challenges often faced by those with dementia and are then encouraged to reflect on what they observed. A guided discussion follows, where participants share their thoughts, explore what might have eased the challenges presented, and learn practical strategies to support and reduce distress for people living with dementia.
This was life changing to how we approached my mother's illness. It provided so much insight on how to care for her and improved our relationship drastically.
